What is preamble in communication?
A preamble is a signal used in network communications to synchronize transmission timing between two or more systems. In general, preamble is a synonym for "introduction." The role of the preamble is to define a specific series of transmission criteria that is understood to mean "someone is about to transmit data".
What is in the preamble of a packet?
A preamble is a set of symbols or bits used in packet-based communications systems to indicate the start of a packet. Packets consist of preamble data and user data. The length of the user data portion of the packet can vary during a simulation run.
